About Michelle

Michelle is providing in-person grief counseling services for the Plumas, Sierra and Lassen Counties of California as well as world-wide with conference calling technology. She continues to be the Salvation Army Representative for Eastern Plumas County as she has been for the last 6 years. She was program manager of the CalOES funded Rape Crisis Program for Plumas County for 6 years. During this time, she built strong relationships with the community including community leaders, law enforcement and local charitable organizations. Michelle enjoys public speaking and is proud of teaching a generation of Plumas County children the “My Body Belongs to Me” program in the local public school system. Michelle received her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Harris University and is currently working on her Doctorate, conducting a study on grief recovery and writing a book. Michelle believes that grief recovery is the fastest, most useful method to vastly increase global sanity and individual actualization.
